More information is coming soon about our public-private partnership, funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), to provide input to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on the quality and efficiency measures for use in specific programs. This work is required by Section 3014 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ACA) (P.L. 111-148), which created section 1890A of the Social Security Act (the Act). Section 1890(b)(7)(B) of the Act describes the categories of measures.
The group providing input on the Measures under Consideration (MUC) List will also make recommendations to HHS as a part of the Measure Set Review process.
This partnership, formerly known as the National Quality Forum's (NQF) Measure Applications Partnership, or MAP, will continue under a new name as the Partnership for Quality Measurement (PQM), beginning later in 2023.
