We want to hear your thoughts about the 2024-2025 Pre-Rulemaking Measure Review (PRMR) recommendations for Measures Under Consideration (MUC) for use in select Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services programs. Please provide written comments on the 2024-2025 PRMR MUC Recommendations Spreadsheet during the public comment period, February 3 through February 17. The final PRMR Recommendations Report containing a full discussion summary and analysis of discussion themes will be posted later this month. Submit a comment on the Recommendations Spreadsheet.
In January, PRMR Recommendation Group members met to discuss measures on the 2024 MUC List to provide feedback about which measures to include in select CMS programs. The three setting-specific PRMR committees—Hospital, Clinician, and Post-Acute Care/Long-Term Care—evaluated a total of 41 measures. For each measure, the committee voted to either recommend a measure for inclusion into the selected program(s), recommend with conditions, or not recommend. When the group could not come to a consensus on a measure, the result was “consensus not reached.” The 2024-2025 PRMR MUC Recommendations Spreadsheet contains information on the recommendations for each measure, including the recommendation rationale, and any conditions accompanying the recommendation. Your comments will provide additional feedback to CMS on the measures but will not change the recommendations.
