1.3 Measure Description

This measure identifies adult patients with a history of rheumatoid arthritis who have received erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) or C-reactive protein (CRP) lab tests during the measurement year.

    • 1.14 Numerator

      Patients in the denominator who had an ESR or CRP lab test during the measurement year

    • 1.15 Denominator

      Patients >=18 years old with a history of rheumatoid arthritis, diagnosed prior to the measurement year

    • Exclusions

      The measure excludes patients who have had an inpatient hospitalization during the measurement year because UB04 claims do not document individual lab tests ordered during an inpatient stay.
