Percentage of patients 40 years and older with COPD exacerbations that are receiving a long acting bronchodilator

    • 1.14 Numerator

      Patients with a refill for a long acting bronchodilator

      Time Window: 6 months

    • 1.15 Denominator

      Patients 40 years and older with COPD exacerbations

      Time Window: 12 months

    • Exclusions

      Patients with a lung transplant; other indications for steroid use

      General exclusions:
      • Evidence of metastatic disease or active treatment of malignancy (chemotherapy or radiation therapy) in the last 6 months;
      • Patients who have been in a skilled nursing facility in the last 3 months
