The number of individuals from the denominator with 1 or more fills for a statin medication during the measurement year.
DenominatorIndividuals aged 40 years to 75 years as of the first day of the measurement year, meeting continuous enrollment criteria (the measurement year, with one allowable gap), and have 2 or more prescription claims for a diabetes medication during the measurement year. Individuals with a hospice indicator or ESRD diagnosis are excluded from the measure.
ExclusionsIndividuals in hospice care or with end-stage renal disease.
