Risk Assessment/Treatment After Fracture

  • Patients age 50 or over with a fragility fracture who have either a dual-energy X-Ray absorptiometry (DXA) scan ordered or performed, or a prescription for FDA-approved pharmacotherapy for osteoporosis, or who are seen by or linked to a fracture liaison service prior to discharge from inpatient status,. If DXA is not available and documented as such, then any other specified fracture risk assessment method may be ordered or performed.

Spring 2023 Post-Comment Meeting

Following the conclusion of the Spring 2023 public comment period, the project committee reviews submitted comments. After its review, the committee may choose to revise its recommendations within in response to a specific comment or series of comments. In addition the project committee will re-vote on measures in which consensus was not reached during the Spring 2023 measure evaluaiton meeting. Any revisions will be reflected in the final report.
 

STS Lobectomy for Lung Cancer Composite Score

  • The STS Lobectomy Composite Score comprises two domains:

    1. Operative Mortality (death during the same hospitalization as surgery or within 30 days of the procedure)
    2. Presence of at least one of these major complications: pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome, bronchopleural fistula, pulmonary embolus, initial ventilator support greater than 48 hours, reintubation/respiratory failure, tracheostomy, myocardial infarction, or unexpected return to the operating room.
