The STS Lobectomy Composite Score comprises two domains:
1. Operative Mortality (death during the same hospitalization as surgery or within 30 days of the procedure)
2. Presence of at least one of these major complications: pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome, bronchopleural fistula, pulmonary embolus, initial ventilator support greater than 48 hours, reintubation/respiratory failure, tracheostomy, myocardial infarction, or unexpected return to the operating room.
The Hospice Comprehensive Assessment Measure assesses the percentage of hospice stays in which patients who received a comprehensive patient assessment at hospice admission. The measure focuses on hospice patients age 18 years and older. A total of seven individual NQF endorsed component quality will provide the source data for this comprehensive assessment measure, including NQF #1634, NQF #1637, NQF #1639, NQF #1638, NQF #1617, NQF #1641, and NQF #1647. These seven measures are currently implemented in the CMS HQRP.
CollaboRATE is a patient-reported measure of shared decision making which contains three brief questions that patients, their parents, or their representatives complete following a clinical encounter. The CollaboRATE measure provides a performance score representing the percentage of adults 18 and older who experience a high level of shared decision making.

Three rates are reported:
