HIV medical visit frequency

  • Percentage of patients, regardless of age, with a diagnosis of HIV who had at least one medical visit in each 6-month period within 24 months with a minimum of 60 days between medical visits.

    A medical visit is any visit in an outpatient/ambulatory care setting with a nurse practitioner, physician, and/or a physician assistant who provides comprehensive HIV care.

In-hospital mortality following elective EVAR of AAAs

  • Percentage of patients undergoing elective endovascular repair of asymptomatic infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) who die while in hospital. This measure is proposed for both hospitals and individual providers. The measure is currently reported in the Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) Registry.

Ischemic Vascular Disease (IVD): Use of Aspirin or Another Antiplatelet

  • The percentage of patients 18 years of age and older who were discharged from an inpatient setting with an acute myocardial infarction (AMI), coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) or percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) during the 12 months prior to the measurement year, or who had a diagnosis of ischemic vascular disease (IVD) during the measurement year and the year prior to the measurement year and who had documentation of routine use of aspirin or another antiplatelet during the measurement year.
