  • The ECHO is a survey that includes 5 multiple item measures and 12 single item measures:

    Multiple Item Measures:

    Getting treatment quickly
    -Get treatment as soon as wanted when it was needed right away
    -Get appointments as soon as wanted
    -Get professional help by telephone
    How well clinicians communicate
    -Clinicians listen carefully
    -Clinicians explain things in an understandable way
    -Clinicians show respect
    -Clinicians spend enough time
    -Feel safe with clinicians
    -Patient involved as much as wanted in treatment
    Perceived improvement

Follow-Up Care for Children Prescribed ADHD Medication (ADD)

  • Percentage of children newly prescribed attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) medication who had at least three follow-up care visits within a 10-month period, one of which is within 30 days of when the first ADHD medication was dispensed.
    An Initiation Phase Rate and Continuation and Maintenance Phase Rate are reported.

Hospital 30-Day All-Cause Risk-Standardized Readmission Rate (RSRR) following Vascular Procedures

  • This measure estimates hospital risk-standardized 30-day unplanned readmission rates following hospital stays with one or more qualifying vascular procedure in patients who are 65 years of age or older and either admitted to the hospital (inpatients) for their vascular procedure(s) or receive their procedure(s) at a hospital but are not admitted as an inpatient (outpatients). Both scenarios are hereafter referred to as "hospital stays."

Hospital-Level, Risk-Standardized Patient-Reported Outcomes Following Elective Primary Total Hip and/or Total Knee Arthroplasty (THA/TKA)

  • This patient-reported outcome-based performance measure will estimate a hospital-level, risk-standardized improvement rate (RSIR) following elective primary THA/TKA for Medicare fee-for-service (FFS) patients 65 years of age and older. Improvement will be calculated with patient-reported outcome data collected prior to and following the elective procedure. The preoperative data collection timeframe will be 90 to 0 days before surgery and the postoperative data collection timeframe will be 270 to 365 days following surgery.
