What percentage of infants had bloodspot newborn screening performed as mandated by state of birth?

    • 1.14 Numerator

      The number of infants born in a state who have a valid newborn screen performed- in accordance with the state of birth mandated program specifications

    • 1.15 Denominator

      number of infants born in a state during the time period used in the numerator (same area used for numerator)

    • Exclusions

      infants who die prior to normal time frame for collection of newborn screen or infants who have a formal waiver signed by the parents/guardians refusing the state newborn screen
